Temperable Double-Sided Glass Mirror (Temperable Double-Sided Chrome Mirror / One-Piece Double-Sided Reflective Mirror)

Distinction: Double-sided reflective mirror (reflects on both sides) ≠ one-way mirror; this product consists of a single piece of glass that reflects on both sides. The coating is heat-resistant, allowing the glass to be cut and edge-polished before undergoing tempering—it is not made by bonding two separate pieces of glass together

✅ Core Principle

Made from a float glass substrate with a vacuum-deposited multi-layer dielectric + chromium-based composite coating (no traditional silver or backcoat paint). The coating is heat-resistant, allowing for tempering heat treatment after coating is complete; both sides exhibit a mirror-like reflective effect, with a reflectance generally ≥75%. The coating is oxidation-resistant and resistant to blackening or edge deterioration.

Traditional silver mirrors / aluminum mirrors: silver coating + protective lacquer; cannot be tempered; high temperatures cause the coating to peel and oxidize.

✅ Key Features

Temperable: Can be cut, drilled, and edge-polished in its original state before tempering; supports both flat and curved tempering; the coating remains intact and maintains stable reflectivity after tempering; withstands thermal shock of approximately 250°C, offering excellent thermal stability

Double-Sided Imaging: Both sides of a single glass pane can function as mirrors, eliminating the need to laminate two separate mirrors and reducing the risk of delamination

Corrosion-Resistant and Non-Oxidizing: Chromium/dielectric coating with no silver layer and no back coating; resistant to blackening and coating peeling in salt spray and humid environments; suitable for bathrooms, elevators, and outdoor “sky mirror” applications

Secondary Processing: Custom cutting, straight/beveled edge grinding, drilling, laminating, and insulated glass assembly

Safety: Shatters into granular pieces after tempering, with no sharp shards

📏 Standard Specifications

Thickness: 2/3/4/5/6/8/10/12 mm

Raw Sheet Dimensions: 2440 × 3660, 2440 × 3300, 1830 × 2440 mm, etc.

Substrate: Mirror-grade float glass; ultra-clear substrate available

Reflectance: 75%–82% (similar on both sides)

📌 Applications

Sky mirrors, elevator mirrors, double-sided furniture mirrors, exhibition hall partitions, decorative curtain walls, gym mirrors, high-speed rail/rail transit interiors, commercial visual displays, and “Abyss Mirror” substrates.
