Coated glass primarily includes the following types:

Solar Control Glass (Solar Control Coated Glass)

Features: A thin film of metal or metal oxide is deposited on the glass surface, exhibiting high reflectivity to solar infrared radiation, moderate visible light transmittance, and high ultraviolet absorption. It displays rich colors and provides one-way visibility.
Applications: Commonly used in building curtain walls and skylights to reduce air conditioning energy consumption and create modern architectural aesthetics, though it may cause light pollution.

Low-E Coated Glass (Low-E Glass)

Characteristics: Features a multi-layer metal compound coating that allows high visible light transmission while reflecting infrared radiation, providing excellent thermal insulation. Available in high-transmission and solar-shading types, with customizable transmittance and colors.
Applications: Widely used in architectural doors, windows, and curtain walls. Particularly suitable for thermal insulation in cold regions and heat rejection in hot regions. Also applied in automotive, marine, and other sectors.

Conductive Film Glass

Features: Surface coated with conductive films like indium tin oxide (ITO), enabling electrical conductivity. Enables glass heating, defrosting, and demisting functions, commonly used in specialized functional applications.
Applications: Employed in LCD displays, automotive windshield defogging, aircraft window de-icing, and as transparent conductive substrates for solar cells.

Solar Control Low-E Glass (Shade-Type Low-E Glass)

Features: Combines the solar shading capabilities of heat-reflective glass with the thermal insulation properties of Low-E glass. Effectively blocks solar heat radiation while maintaining high visible light transmittance.
Applications: Suitable for buildings requiring high solar shading and thermal insulation, such as residential and commercial structures in southern regions.
Single-Silver, Double-Silver, Triple-Silver Low-E Glass

Features: Classified by the number of silver layers—single-silver Low-E glass has approximately 5 layers, double-silver about 9 layers, and triple-silver around 13 layers. More silver layers enhance thermal insulation and solar shading performance while lowering the heat transfer coefficient.
Applications: Triple-silver Low-E glass offers optimal performance, commonly used in high-end buildings and projects with stringent energy efficiency requirements. Single- and double-silver variants suit general buildings across diverse climatic zones.

In-line Coated Glass vs. Off-line Coated Glass

Characteristics: In-line coated glass receives its coating during the manufacturing process. The coating is hard and durable, allowing for thermal bending and tempering. However, it offers limited variety and relatively weaker thermal performance. Offline coated glass is coated after production, offering diverse options and customizable performance, but the coating requires use in insulated glass units.
Applications: Online coated glass suits scenarios demanding high coating stability; offline coated glass offers greater flexibility for architectural projects with personalized requirements.
